Each player receives 13 cards; the remaining cards are drawn into the discard pile.

The dealer lays down the top card of their hand as trump or non-trump based on suit strength.

Players take turns playing cards in ascending order, except for the trump suit which follows a set hierarchy.

The winner of each trick plays again; the first to exhaust their hand wins the round!
